The “2D Computer-Aided Design” lesson focuses on digital design. During this lesson, two-dimensional (2D) graphic elements are created, which will be used to create a physical object with one of the machines. In this class, a 2D design is created for a textile print, which will be cut with a vinyl cutter or plotter and embedded into the fabric with a heat press, and for creating a decor with a laser cutter. Students learn the skills to work with computer-aided design software such as Inkscape and Roland CutStudio and understand the operation of various machines.
⏱ The lesson lasts 240 minutes or 4 hours.
