Eco-technology is a way of thinking based on two basic principles: it requires little investment and it is a simple, waste-free technology. The cooperation partner of the Nature House, the University of Liepaja, offers students to learn eco-technologies in depth, therefore this lesson has been specially developed in cooperation with colleagues from the University of Liepaja. Ecotechnology allows the student to develop a new approach to thinking and solve problems in an innovative way.
In the lesson, students will learn in an interactive way what eco-technologies are, what an eco-technologist is doing in the field, how to become such specialist and why eco-technologies are necessary at all. Students will be introduced with the aquaponics system, its inhabitants and application. Everybody will have the opportunity to take on the role of an eco-technologist and create own eco-technology.
