02. June, 2021

On June 7, the Science and Education Innovation Centre (ZIIC) of the Liepaja Municipal Education Department will start leading summer outdoor lessons for children aged 5 to 10. Lessons will take place on working days at the Nature House, Horse Island. It is possible to apply for June lessons from June 2. The number of places is limited.
In June, children will have the opportunity to participate in the lessons “Bird Researcher” and “Young Geographer”, during which they will go on an expedition around the Horse Island. In the “Bird Researcher” lesson, children will look into the world of birds, watch them, hear their voices and learn why a bird does not stay wet after a water bath? In addition, in the lesson “Young Geographer” there will be an opportunity to learn skills in orienting the environment and get acquainted with the work of a cartographer.
From Monday to Wednesday, lessons are intended for children aged 8-10 at 14:00 (“Bird Researcher”) and 15:00 (“Young Geographer”). On Thursdays and Fridays at 14:00 and 15:00, parents can join the lessons (on Thursdays for children aged 8-10 with parents and on Fridays for children aged 5-7 with parents). Each lesson lasts 40 minutes and is free of charge.
